Angels Camp, CA…With great pride the Angels Camp Museum opens its new main building, second floor gallery exhibition. Medicine in the Gold Rush opened to the public November 21, 2016. The Museum is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday through Sunday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
This new educational exhibit expands the museum’s picture of life in the Mother Lode: Medicine in the Gold Rush uses artifacts, text, images, and multimedia displays to communicate the important role of medicine in the early years of the community. Doctors and drugstores had a social role far beyond the treatment of illness and injury, and left a heritage that continues to influence life in local communities today.
Come check out the new exhibit! Bring family and friends to the museum during the holiday season. Walk the beautiful grounds. Discover three buildings of historical exhibits. Try panning for gold. Shop at the museum gift shop for one-of-a-kind souvenirs and fun stocking stuffers.
