November 24, 2016 – The 10th Annual Klassen Klassic Turkey Trot – Over the 10 years, the event has raised
more than 12 tons of food for local food banks. The only registration fee is canned or other nonperishable food,
although cash donations are accepted. Every year a local charity or family in need is the recipient of cash funds
raised. This year, it’s the Peter Speno Memorial Fund, named for well-known Murphys restaurateur Peter Speno who
recently died. Warmups and registration begin at 8 am and the races begin at 9 am at Murphys Park. Races are 2.5K
and 5K runs, but walkers, skippers, strollers and dogs are welcome, as are those who participate through wheeled
apparatus. Information regarding the event can be found on our Turkey Trot Facebook page.

presents “A Walk in the Park with David Vassar” featuring the Academy Award®-nominated and Emmy® Awardwinning
writer, director, producer, and documentarian, David Vassar from 7-10pm. This VIP will be presented in Bear
Valley Resorts’ majestic Cathedral Lounge. The presentation will be followed by a wine and cheese reception with the
