Born on January, 8th 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised in Moorestown, New Jersey C.T. attended both Moorestown High School and The Bordentown Military Academy in New Jersey. He was a member of the Moorestown Fire Department Hose Company NO.1 and the Moorestown Emergency Squad in the 1960’s and 1970’s. He served in the United States Navy and worked numerous construction jobs, including as an iron worker on nuclear power plants on the east coast. C.T. moved to California and was certified as a paramedic. He worked as a first responder in Oakland in the 1980’s and 1990’s.

C.T. always considered himself a craftsman and was talented in his life’s labors. His unabashed sense of humor, audacious charm, and benevolent generosity endeared him to all those who knew him.

Enamored by the legends of the gold rush prospectors of “Great North,” and mountain men of yore, C.T. would walk his own path through his life. His faith in Jesus and the love of his family and friends sustained him. At the close of his days, The End of The Trail, by his favorite poet Robert Service says it best:

Life, you’ve been wonderful to me,
But fleetest foot must fail;
The hour must come when all will see
The last lap of the trail.
Yet holding in my heart a hymn
Of praise for gladness gone,
Serene I wait my star to dim
In the glow of the Greater Dawn.

C.T. was predeceased by his father, Perry Thompson Jones, and his mother, Doris Marie Jones, Nee Bemet, and cousin Mark Mcdonough. C.T. is survived by several first cousins: Leslie Whitehurst, Washington, NC; Clay Jones, Aiken, SC, Janice Wells, Hudson, NH, Perry McDonough, Methuen, MA, Shane McDonough, Methuen, MA, lifelong friend Stephen Makuka of Columbus, NJ, and many friends and loved ones on both coasts.
