The Ebbetts Pass Historical Association will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of our beautiful and unique ski area by hosting the 13th Annual Winter sports History Night inside the Cathedral Lounge at the Bear Valley Lodge. The mechanics, shop workers, equipment operators, and groomers will be honored this year. The Peter Brinkman Award will be presented to John “J.T.” Turner, who has been wrenching, driving, and holding things together at the Mountain almost from the beginning. There will be a brief remembrance of community members who passed away this year. There will be a short presentation on the Nikolay Dodov snow safety foundation. This fun event is free and all are welcome to come and share stories about the creation of the resort and what it takes to keep it running.
