Angels Camp, CA…The Annual Angels Camp Christmas Parade & Open House filled Angels Camp last Saturday evening.  It kicked off at 4:00 pm. with caroling in front of the Calaveras Visitors Center and lighting of the Christmas tree at 4:30 pm.   At 5:00 pm  the Parade of Lights through historic downtown where locals and visitors alike line this classic Gold Rush street to enjoy the pretty sights.  Main Street merchants were open late serving up treats, discounts on merchandise and wine tasting.  Santa was available for photos on the porch at the Visitors Center following the parade and food trucks were selling pizza, hot chocolate and other toasty goodies for an evening’s entertainment of carols from Mountain Melody Women’s Choir. It was the kind of classic, small-town-America-celebration that will warms your heart and jump starts your holiday spirit.  We have photos and video of the parade below…
