Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! We will be opening more terrain this weekend as our Snow Making/Slope crew has been doing a great job getting Mokelumne West ready. We will be turning Kuma so Mokelume West will be open but all other runs off the summit will be closed so please heed our closures for you safety. Cub Meadow will also have some expanded terrain as well as the Panda Carpet for lessons and such. We will have some terrain park features also as well as Tubing so come on up and enjoy our “Pure Mountain Fun” ethos!!!!!! Stay tuned……..
High pressure has arrived and with it warmer temps. Currently at 5am it’s 39F with ENE winds from 20-32mph. Todays high will come in around 43F as the upper level high moves in and the gradient relaxes a little bit so winds today will back off into the 15-20mph range with a few gusts up to 25mph. Sunday looks to be even warmer with a high of 47F and winds dying down to 5-7mph out of the Southwest. Monday will bring a return of colder temps as an upper low tries to make it’s way into Norcal so a chance of snow on Tuesday remains in the forecast but only trace amounts are expected to Fall South of I-80.
