Sheep Ranch, CA…On 12/01/16 at 1:41 PM, Calaveras County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Armstrong Road in Sheep Ranch for a structure Fire. Deputies arrived on scene and observed a single family home fully engulfed by fire. Christopher John Trotter (44 years old) of Sheep Ranch was contacted on scene and arrested for allegedly setting the home on fire.

No injuries were reported and the occupants of the residence are accounted for. The details and motive for the Arson are under investigation. Christopher Trotter was booked into Calaveras County Jail for Arson, Bail $ 250,000. Additional facts of this incident are still under investigation.
