Sacramento, CA…Senator Ted Gaines (R–El Dorado) today announced his committee assignments for the 2017-18 legislative session. Senator Gaines will remain in his post as vice chairman of the Senate Insurance Committee. He is also a member of the Senate Committees on Governmental Organization; Energy, Utilities and Communications; Transportation and Housing; and Legislative Ethics.

“I am honored to have been given these committee assignments that cover such far ranging, critical areas that affect the lives of all Californians,” said Senator Gaines. “I will work hard to achieve bipartisan solutions to the important issues facing our state and defend the interests of hard-working taxpayers.”

Senator Ted Gaines represents the 1st Senate District, which includes all or parts of Alpine, El Dorado, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Shasta, Sierra and Siskiyou counties.
