Minor Injuries To Deputy In Rollover Collision

Mountain Ranch, CA…Deputy Riviera was in uniform and driving a fully marked, Calaveras County Sheriff patrol vehicle. She was responding to assist a fellow Deputy who was on scene of a traffic collision. She was traveling eastbound on Mountain Ranch Road, west of Rocky Road at approximately 25 mph. The Deputy was driving slow due to the icy roadways.

As she was driving she suddenly felt her car start to slide and she entered the westbound lane. She over-corrected back to the right and reentered into the eastbound. The Deputy could not regain control of her vehicle and continued down the south shoulder (embankment). Consequently, the vehicle rolled over and she sustained minor injuries.

Alcohol and drugs are not a factor in this collision.
