Calaveras County, CA…The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various road work on State Route 26 (SR-26) in Calaveras County. Due to the New Year’s Holiday, there is no scheduled road work for Sunday, January 1st or Monday, January 2nd. Work will occur as follows:

One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound SR-26 from Gill Haven Drive to just east of Alabama Hill for slope repair beginning Tuesday, January 3, 2017, through Friday, January 6, 2017, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 10-minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/ or materials and construction related issues.
