San Andreas, CA…Message from the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team. The National Weather Service is predicting that a large storm will impact Calaveras County Saturday, January 7, 2017 through Monday, January 9, 2017. Persons who are planning outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, biking, snowmobiling, and off- roading are asked to be thoroughly prepared and self-sufficient, or to wait for less extreme weather.

The Calaveras County Search and Rescue team will be on standby for swift water rescue and flood response. Rescue of persons who have placed themselves into precarious situations may occur with a delay.
