Unwanted Visitor With .277% Blood Alcohol Arrested On Burglary, Public Intoxication & More

Sonora CA….This morning just after 4 AM, the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a resident on Stanislaus Court in Sonora. The homeowner reported a male stranger had rang his doorbell and demanded entry into his house. The man identified himself as Jordan, walked away from the front door, and made entry into the garage.

Deputies arrived on scene minutes later as 21 year old Robert Jordan Torres exited the garage. Torres was detained and he was found to be in possession of a pocket knife. The home owner identified several items in his garage which had been damaged by a knife. One of the damaged items had the initials “JT” freshly carved into it. The estimated damages caused by Torres, totaled more than $850.

Torres was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for burglary, felony vandalism, and public intoxication. During the booking process at the Jail, Torres was found to have a blood alcohol level of .277% and he has a “consume no alcohol” clause as part of his probation.
