Sonora, CA…On Wednesday evening, Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Narcotics Agents and Patrol Deputies went to an address located in the 19000 block of Sunny Circle in Sonora to investigate a possible stolen vehicle parked in front of the residence.

Deputies made contact with 26 year old Richard Eugene Lowe Jr. at the home. A records check revealed Lowe had three outstanding warrants for his arrest for various charges related to the possession of a controlled substance, possession for sales and transportation of controlled substances.

Further investigation revealed Lowe also had items related to the possession of the stolen 1996 Honda Civic parked in front of his residence. The vehicle was reported stolen out of the Sonora area a few days ago and will now be returned to the rightful owner.

Lowe was transported and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail on his outstanding warrants and an additional charge of being in possession of a stolen vehicle.
