Murphys, CA…An exuberant ticket holder will experience firsthand the luck of the Irish when he or she is declared winner of the grand prize in this year’s Win a Trip for Two to Ireland raffle as part of the 25th Anniversary Murphys Irish Day celebration that will be held Saturday, March 18.

Along with a traveling companion, the winner will be transported from a gold rush town with Irish heritage to the fabled land of shamrocks and leprechauns.

The coveted prize offers the travelers flexibility in creating their own itinerary. They will enjoy their first night in a pre-booked accommodation in Dublin or Shannon and then spend the next five nights in Irish Bed & Breakfasts sprinkled throughout the countryside. The couple will have daily home cooked Irish breakfasts. Air transportation and a standard shift rental car are included.

The Murphys Business Association has contracted with Above & Beyond Travel to book this trip. As is usually the case, some restrictions apply.

Specially created Murphys area vacation prize packages will be awarded to three runners-up.

The first includes a two nights stay at C House Lodging’s Murphys House on Main, dinner for two at the Murphys Hotel, lunch for two at Lucky Penny, wine and food pairing for eight from Val du Vino Winery, and a kayak rental from Sierra Nevada Adventure Co.

Another package includes a one night stay at the Victoria Inn, dinner for two at Rob’s Steak House, lunch for two at Murphys Pub, wine and food pairing for 6-8 from Frog Tooth Winery, and a zip line experience for two and family pass from Cave & Mine Adventures.

The third prize package encompasses two night’s lodging provided by Murphys Vacation Rentals, dinner for two at Grounds, lunch for two at El Jardin, a half-price tour for six with Courtwood Wine Tours, and a family walking pass from Cave & Mine Adventures.

Raffle tickets are five dollars each or five for $20. They are available through March 17 at the Calaveras Visitors Bureau, in Angels Camp, and many locations in Murphys including Creative Cookware, Jillian’s Day Spa, Marisolio Olive Oils, Murphys Hotel, Next – Upscale Resale, The Spice Tin, Sierra Nevada Adventure Company, and Realtor Leanne Smith. They also will be available along Main Street during Irish Day.

The winning tickets will be drawn on Saturday, March 18, as part of the Murphys Irish Day Celebration. The winner need not be present.
