Hey Good People!! “Pure Mountain Fun” Is Back As Bear Valley Reopens After Storm

Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! Expect delays this morning as Patrol will be doing Avalanche Control work and teams will be recovering from all the rain and new snowfall. The Lower Mtn will be closed today to let the new snow bond to the old snow interface and also let some more water leach farther down into the snowpack. 7″ of new snow at the base area and 12″ at the summit overnight. Another 3-7″ is expected during the day today and 2-4″ tonight!!!!! The high today is expected to be around 37F with winds out of the WSW from 11-23mph. Continued snowfall today and tonight will finally give way to clearing by Saturday mid day and a reprieve from the copious amounts of rainfall we have been getting. Next week looks like another return of decent snowfall so keep checking in over the weekend and I’ll have more to share on that. Come on up and experience our local “Pure Mtn Fun” ethos and stay tuned……….
