Valley Springs, CA…Margaret Louise Benfante, born July 30, 1947, in Bremerton, Washington, died at the age 69 years old, 3371 Brooks Lane Valley Springs, CA on January 17, 2017 from Metastatic Breast Cancer. After 31 years of working, Maggie retired in 2013 from her job as an electro/mechanical drafter and technical illustrator. Maggie held a degree in Technical Illustration with a certificate in drafting. At the age of nine, drawing horses became a substitute for not having a horse of her own. Following the drawing of horses, she began painting them oil on canvas. In 2009 she began fulfilling her lifelong dream of casting bronze.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 51.5 years Thomas Benfante; sons Paul Benfante and Thomas M. Benfante, daughter Jaimie Benfante Wilson; granddaughters Ashlee T. Benfante (Parks), Meghann M. Wilson; grandsons Leif McDonald, James T. Wilson, and Joseph Benfante; great-grandchildren Gannon DeKoker, and Connor Benfante; sisters Marie Huston of San Diego, CA, Judith Best of Martinsville, IN and Katherine Cottrell of Henderson, Nevada.
