San Andreas, CA…Leadership Calaveras is a program designed to encourage the development of community leaders identify local issues and needs, and explore solutions. This program provides participants with an educational experience to increase awareness and knowledge of vital organizations in Calaveras County through hands on activities, tour, and panel discussions
History of Leadership Calaveras.

The Leadership program was conceived in 1996 following discussions between the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce and Mark Twain St. Medical Center. Both entities recognized that, in order to preserve and enhance Calaveras’ quality of life, careful planning and cultivation of new leaders was essential.

Curriculum & Participation
Over the course of 10 months, Leadership Calaveras participants will meet one full day each month, usually every 3rd Tuesday, at selected venues throughout Calaveras County and surrounding areas. During each session participants will be introduced to experts and leaders who will speak about their specialty and how it impacts Calaveras County.

Tuition
Tuition is due prior to the first session and preferably by orientation. Tuition includes class materials, Leadership Calaveras T-Shirt, some group transportation, meals, project presentation at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner, and graduation.
