Sonora Woman Arrested After Assault On Savemart Employee

Sonora, CA…Yesterday evening, just before 5:00 P.M., the Sonora Police Department received a call of an assault against an employee of the Stockton Road Savemart store. The Police Department was given a good description of the suspect by the caller.

When Officer Memmer arrived on scene, he observed the described female yelling at another citizen in the parking lot. He detained the agitated female and identified her as 26-year-old Kaitlyn Marie Zinn of Sonora. Zinn was immediately detained and a search of her person revealed a 12″ meat cleaver concealed in her waistline.

During the investigation, it was determined that Zinn initially approached the store employee in the parking lot and began yelling at her about shopping cart. Zinn then grabbed the Savemart employee and began shoving her around.

Zinn was arrested and booked at the Tuolumne County Jail. Her bail was set at $10,000.
