Major Head Trauma In Motorcycle vs Vehicle Accident In Sonora

Sonora, CA… 27 April 2015, at approx. 4:19 pm, emergency personnel from the City of Sonora responded to Mono Way in front of Timberhill’s Shopping Center for a reported vehicle vs. motorcyclist accident.

Roger Hughes, 34 of Tuolumne, was operating a 2011 Harley Division motorcycle, while traveling eastbound on Mono Way. Nancy Fagan, 75 of Jamestown, was operating a 2013 Honda, and was exiting the center entrance/exit of the Timberhill’s Shopping Center. As Fagan crossed the eastbound traffic lanes of Mono Way, Hughes struck the left front side of Fagan’s vehicle and was ejected from his motorcycle.

Hughes suffered major head trauma and was airlifted to a Modesto area hospital where he underwent surgery and is listed in critical condition. The investigation into this matter is ongoing. The eastbound lanes of Mono Way were closed for approx. 45 minutes as a result of the accident.
