Tuolumne County, CA…The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close eastbound and westbound State Route 120 at the James E. Roberts Bridge in Tuolumne County for bridge work.

Access to the bridge is prohibited Tuesday night, April 11, 2017, and Wednesday night, April 12, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning. Detours are in place and can be found at www.dot.ca.gov/dist10/JamesRobertsBridge/index.htm.
Also, eastbound and westbound State Route 120 (SR-120) at the James E. Roberts Memorial Bridge will be under one-way traffic control through the project’s completion in November 2017. Motorists should expect 10 minute delays.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/ or materials and construction related issues.

This is part of the $20.8 million SR-120/James E. Roberts Memorial Bridge Project, which began in July 2016. It will replace the bridge deck and retrofit the structure to provide an additional 40 years of service.
