Charlene Adell DeRivi, May 6, 1940 – April 8, 2017

Valley Springs, CA…Charlene Adell DeRivi, Born in Phoenix Arizona May 6, 1940 to Sterling and Lorene White. Charlene passed away April 8, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Stockton, CA. at the age of 76 years. Her family moved to Bakersfield where she spent most of early life. While working as the Manager of Fred Harvey’s Restaurant, she met her husband, Richard DeRivi. They were married for 46 years. Charlene, along with her husband loved to fish, camp and travel. She formed a group of sibling women ‘On the road again gang’ and traveled all over the United States using the back roads to see real life, missing only two states. She loved children and often took them camping, related or not, it did not matter. As a result, they all called her Aunt Charlene and still do to this day. She also moved around the States as her husband was transferred and traveled with him overseas.

Charlene is survived by her loving husband Richard DeRivi, brother Joe White, daughter Rhonda Silfast (Dan), stepson Anthony DeRivi, grandchildren Chance and Garrett Couto, and numerous nieces and nephews. Charlene was a role model for all those who knew her and will be dearly missed by all those that loved her. We thank God for the gift of her love and knowing that she is now free of pain. Services and burial will be private for immediate family only. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
