San Andreas, CA…A 41 year old Valley Springs man was driving his 2002 GMC northbound on State Route 49, south of Pool Station Road at approximately 25-30 mph and behind a 1994 Toyota. A 21 year old San Andreas woman was driving her Toyota northbound on State Route 49, south of Pool Station Road at approximately 25 mph and beginning to slow to a stop. She came to a stop and was preparing to make a left turn onto Pool Station Road. Due to the Valley Spring man’s unsafe speed he was unable to stop. Consequently, the front end of GMC collided with the back end of the Toyota. After the collision both Parties drove to the right shoulder and waited for CHP.

The San Andreas woman was taken to Mark Twain Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
