Mountain Ranch, CA…Steven Van Jones, 63, died Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Mark Twain Hospital from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He leave behind his son, Steven Van Jones, 2 twin grandsons, Silas and Peyton Van Jones Roberts, brother Daryl Jones, sister Debra True, father Elbert Jones and many close friends. Born and raised in Los Altos Hills, son of Elbert V. Jones and Billie L. Jones then moved to Calaveras County in his late 20’s after working for his father’s plastering company as a Hod Carrier. His passions were Indian Motorcycles (one which he built at age 13!), gold mining and entertaining his many friends with his stories and adventures.

Steven was laid to rest at the Mountain Ranch Cemetery on April 28, 2017.

A celebration of life will be held on May 20th at Mountain Ranch Park at 2:00 PM
