Commenters wishing to appeal the decision to prepare an MND must specifically state this intention in their letter.
Project Location: The Project is located along Singletree Drive near the intersection of Conestoga Trail, approximately 0.5 mile north of State Route 4 and approximately 2.5 miles west of the community of Copperopolis in western Calaveras County.
Project Description: Calaveras County Public Works Department, in conjunction with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), intends to replace an existing, failed, low water crossing with a new bridge on Singletree Drive over Little Johns Creek (an alternative spelling is Littlejohns Creek). The low water crossing (LWC) once allowed the creek to flow through several culverts under the road. The LWC failed and washed out during high flows in the winter of 2004. The road was washed out and remains closed. Construction of the new bridge is planned to commence in 2018 or later.
