Striping on State Route 4 from State Route 49 to Alpine/Calaveras County Line

Calaveras County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various road construction activities on State Route 4 (SR-4) from SR-49 in Angles Camp to the Alpine/Calaveras County line. Work will occur as follows: One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound SR-4 from SR-49 to Angels Creek Bridge in Angels Camp beginning Tuesday, May 9, 2017, through Wednesday, May 10, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 a.m. Moving closure on eastbound and westbound SR-4 from Main Street to the Calaveras/Alpine County line for striping operations beginning Monday, May 8, 2017, through Friday, May 12, 2017, from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound SR-4 from Upper Moran Road to Big Trees Park for drainage work beginning Monday, May 8, 2017, through Friday, May 12, 2017, from 6:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 10-minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/ or materials and construction related issues.
