Jackson, CA…Please join District leaders along with local community partners and State Superintendent Tom Torlakson to commemorate the start of Amador County Public Schools’ sustainability program! Amador County Public Schools is kicking off a comprehensive energy program that is expected to achieve over $17 million in net savings over the program life, while enhancing energy performance across the school district.
More information about the project scope will be shared at the event, including details about our new solar-powered shade structures at Amador and Argonaut High Schools, and District-wide LED lighting retrofits and HVAC upgrades. In addition to our technology upgrades, we are proud that our new “Amador GOLD” program will support student and teacher engagement by incorporating sustainability concepts into classroom curriculum, internship opportunities, and professional development for teachers.
Please RSVP and we hope to see you there!
