Camp Connell, CA…Mary Ellen Murphy died May 12, 2017 at the age of 92. Mrs Murphy was born in Owasso, MI. She was the youngest of 10 children. Mary moved from Michigan to Whittier, CA in 1950. She worked in uptown Whittier at Marshburn Insurance Co. as an insurance writer. She married Gilbert L. Murphy in 1965. After retirement Gil and Mary moved to Big Trees Village in Camp Connell, CA. They were both very active in St. Patrick’s Church activities for many years. Mary was predeceased by her husband Gilbert Lyle Murphy who passed away in 2012.

Mrs. Murphy is survived by her step daughter Judy (Larry) Wainwright of Canton, GA, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at Buena Vista Cemetery in Murphys, CA Tuesday May 23, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. Fr. Rolly of St. Patrick’s Church will officiate the services. Friends and acquaintances are welcome to attend.
