San Andreas, CA…Calaveras Community Foundation awarded Common Ground Senior Services a $10,000 check to help support the Meals-on-Wheels program in Calaveras County. This support comes at a crucial time when there is so much uncertainty as to the future of funding at the federal level for programs aimed at assisting older adults to remain safely in their own homes and communities.
Common Ground provides the home-delivered program, congregate dining sites, transports and other services through grants, donations, and fundraisers. These programs assist our community seniors with well-balanced meals and transports to non-emergency health and wellness appointments.
“Our goal is to provide services that empower, enhance, and maintain the dignity of each of our clients,” states Elizabeth Thompson, Executive Director of Common Ground. The Agency has been providing services to seniors since 2000.
Common Ground wishes to thank the Calaveras Community Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization for their continued support of Calaveras’ senior population. To make a donation to Common Ground or for more information on the Foundation, please visit calaverascommunityfoundation.org.
