Short Motorcycle Pursuit Ends In Arrest On $250,000 Warrant & Other Charges

Tuolumne, CA…A short pursuit through Tuolumne City this afternoon ended when the dirt bike rider hit a boulder and crashed. A Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Deputy spotted the rider of a dirt bike fail to stop at a stop sign. A traffic stop was initiated, the dirt bike took off, and the Deputy gave chase.

The pursuit lasted for less than half a mile when the rider tried to go off road behind Jerry Whitehead Field. The front wheel of the dirt bike struck a boulder causing the rider to crash. After a short foot chase, 28 year old Brian Grijalva was arrested.

Grijalva was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for vehicle evasion, driving on a suspended driver’s license, and several Tuolumne County misdemeanor warrants. He was also booked for a $250,000 misdemeanor traffic warrant out of

Pomona Police Department.
Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt during this incident.
