Dr. Mike Kifune Returns to Practice Medicine in Arnold

San Andreas, CA June 6, 2017 –Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Mike Kifune to their Arnold Family Medical Center. “I am grateful to be returning to practice in the Arnold community,’ commented Dr. Kifune, “I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Dr. Nadler for his many years of service to the community and I hope to be an adequate replacement for him.” “Dr. Kifune is a trusted and well known Family Practice provider who has served patients in our region for over 30 years,” stated Bob Diehl, CEO of MTMC. “Many families have benefited by his medical experience and outstanding humankindness.”

“Dr. Kifune will be an asset to our Medical Team in the Arnold Clinic, remarked Dr. Lonnie Smith, Chief Medical Officer, “He has been a part of the Medical Staff at MTMC for decades including his current role as one of our Hospitalists (a dedicated in-patient physician who works exclusively caring for patients that have been admitted to a hospital). It is also a strong testament to his character that in February of this year the Mark Twain Health Care District awarded Dr. Kifune the Health Care Delivery Award at the fifth annual Golden Health Awards.”

He obtained his BS in biological sciences with distinction at Stanford University. Graduating with honors from the University Of California Irvine College Of Medicine, Dr. Kifune then went on to complete his family practice residency San Joaquin General Hospital.

Dr. Kifune was in private practice in Arnold for 24 years, and most recently was the Medical Director for the MACT (Mariposa, Amador, Calaveras, Tuolumne) Health Board for thirteen years. In addition to returning to practicing in Arnold he will continue serving in the role as a Hospitalist, at the Mark Twain Medical Center.
In serving the Arnold area, Dr. Kifune will join the healthcare team of Stephanie Peffer, Nurse Practitioner; and Ann Radford, Nurse Practitioner.
