Arnold, CA…Barbara Rose Russell (Burns) passed away June 16th at the age of 93. Born May 17, 1924 in Stockton, to Edward and Irene Burns. Affectionately known as Sis or Bobbie to friends and family, she is survived by son James F Russell Jr, of Arnold and granddaughters Bonnie Esperanca and Annie Russell Zinzuvadia, four great grandsons and one great granddaughter and brother Thomas Burns.

A descendant of pioneer California families, she graduated from College of the Pacific in 1945 and taught girls P.E. at Edison High School for a time. She had resided in Arnold for the past 50 years. At her request, no services will be held.
