Murphys, CA…The Bill Welles Band, playing a variety of styles from Americana and folk to blues and rock and roll, will be the featured performers when the Murphys Community Club’s First Friday in the Park event is presented July 7 starting at 5:30 p.m. in the cool confines of Murphys Community Park. In addition to Welles on guitar, the popular local band includes Ron Schaner on bass, Ray Price on drums, Jerry Solberg on keyboards, Larry Drummond on Mandolin, and Ras Beeken Dan on sax, flute, and percussion. The members share the vocal chores.
