July 11, 2017 – Camp Marisolio for Kids – Boys and girls ages 6-12, are invited to join us for a hands on class with food, food experiments and fun from 10am to noon! Kids will be creating pizzas, personalized salad dressings from our many oils and balsamics, and their own filled cupcakes from a choice of ingredients. July 15, 2017 – 69th Annual Murphys Homecoming & Duck Races –Murphys Community Park – Firecracker Five run/walk at 8am, crafts, fishing games, face painting and a water slide open at 11am, the Calaveras Community Band performs from 11:30 am to 1 pm, the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program fundraiser Duck Races start at 1pm (visit calaverasmentoringfoundation.org to enter for prizes), and contests like an egg-on-a-spoon game, three-legged race, water balloon toss, dunk tank and the Murphys Cakewalk entertain in the afternoon; free to attend, Helen’s Hut will be open with foods and beverages on sale.
