Detwiller Fire in Mariposa County Explodes to 11,000 Acres

Mariposa, CA…The Detwiller Fire has exploded today to swell to over 11,000 acres. The latest incident information from 5:45 pm. The fire is burning near Detwiller Rd and Hunters Valley Rd, 2 miles east of Lake McClure. It was started July 16, 2017 3:56 pm. The CAL FIRE Madera-Mariposa-Merced Unit is in charge of fighting the fire in Mariposa County. They are not listing any containment at this time and there has been 1 structure destroyed and 1 damaged

Evacuation orders are in place for Hunters Valley Rd.* Detwiller Rd. * Hunter Valley Mountain Access Rd. * Bears Valley between Cotton Creek and Hwy 49 * Hwy 49N from Pendola Garden Rd from Hwy 49 to Fremont Fort
