Another Day in The Office for ACPD

Angels Camp, CA…On 07-22-17, Russell D. Cline, a 35 year old Columbia resident and Post-Release Community Supervision client, entered the Sierra Energy convenience store and walked out with a pair of $10.00 sunglasses without paying for them. He was identified by staff, who signed a citizen’s arrest form for the theft.

On today’s date, 07-27-17, he was identified by CVS Pharmacy employees as the subject that entered their store and began loading up his backpack with various items from the shelves. When he was confronted by staff and advised that the police were being called, he dropped the items and exited the store.

Angels Camp PD was advised earlier today that Cline is also wanted by Calaveras County Probation, for removing his ankle bracelet monitor. Police received information from probation that Cline was in the vicinity of Angels Food Market, and responded to the area. The Angels Camp PD located and detained Cline on scene until probation arrived, and probation took custody of Cline and transported him to jail, where he was booked on charges related to violating the terms and conditions of his post-release community supervision.

The ankle bracelet that was supposed to be affixed to his ankle was inside the backpack that he was carrying.
