Jamestown, CA….Firefighters are working a vegetation fire in the Stent area. From the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Dept…”Update at 3:40 PM: Additional Road closures at Algerine at Wards Ferry and Lime Kiln at Wards Ferry. Evacuations advisories have been issued for Algerine Road, Twist Road and Hog Mountain Road. Update 3 PM: Fire is now reported at 80-100 acres. One home was evacuated on Jacksonville Road. The fire is moving towards Algerine Road. Fire personnel are working hard to battle the blaze and prevent it from jumping Algerine Road.

The fire is at 15-20 acres and headed towards Algerine Road. CHP has Jacksonville Road closed from Hwy 120 to Stent. Algerine Road is also closed.”
