San Andreas, CA…On 8-30-17 at approx. 1230 hours Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office deputies accompanied by a parole officer from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), contacted and arrested 38 year old Dane Tonies (from San Andreas) at a residence on Berry Court for parole violation 3056PC, assault with a deadly weapon 245(a)(1)PC, and 422PC criminal threats.
The Sheriff’s Office had previously responded to a disturbance call at a residence on Pope Street in San Andreas on 8-28-17 at approx. 2200 hours. During that call for service, deputies were told that suspect Tonies was involved and left prior to law enforcement’s arrival. At the time, limited details regarding the disturbance were given to deputies on scene. Several hours later, a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Angels Camp on a vehicle driven by Tonies and he was subsequently arrested by the Angels Camp Police Department for driving under the influence.
On 8-29-17 a female victim reported to deputies that during the disturbance the night prior, she was threatened by suspect Tonies while he was armed with a knife. At the time this report was taken, Tonies had already been released from custody and his whereabouts unknown. Tonies is on active parole and CDCR was notified and assisted in locating and arresting him. Dane Tonies is being held in the Calaveras County Jail with no bail.
