San Andreas, CA…Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) will be holding its 19th Annual Fall Health Fair on Saturday, September 30th from 7am to noon at the Hospital Campus in San Andreas. “Our purpose is to serve our community in many ways,” said Bob Diehl, Hospital President. “MTMC cares deeply about the health and wellbeing of our community members and beyond. Hosting our annual health fairs is just one way that we are able to provide valuable and needed resources in our rural community.”

Over fifty community health related service groups will participate in this community-wide event. A wealth of information is available on topics such as senior health services, health insurance information, long term and short term care, various support groups will be in attendance, including experts in nutrition, fitness and diabetes. The low cost health screening and services include the five-panel blood analysis, including a chemistry panel, thyroid, complete blood count, lipid panel, iron for women, PSA for men, and vitamin D deficiencies ($45), and Bone Density Screenings ($20). Those participating in the blood analysis need to be fasting after 10pm the night before. Flu shots are free.
