Paving, Drainage & Striping Work on Hwy 88 in Amador County

AMADOR COUNTY — The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be performing various road construction work on State Route 88 (SR-88) from Pitt Street, in Jackson, to the Amador/Alpine County line. Work will occur as follows: One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound SR-88 from Pitt Street, in Jackson, to Silver Drive/Golf Links Drive, east of Pioneer, beginning Sunday, September 10, 2017, until Friday, September 15, 2017, from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for paving

One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound SR-88 from Buckhorn Ridge Road to Sugar Pine Drive beginning Monday, September 11, 2017, until Friday, September 15, 2017, for drainage work;

A moving closure will be in effect on eastbound and westbound SR-88 from Wagon Wheel Drive to Foster Meadow Road beginning Tuesday, September 12, 2017, until Thursday, September 14, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for striping;

One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound SR-88 from Tragedy Springs Road to the Amador/Alpine County line beginning Monday, September 11, 2017, until Friday, September 15, 2017, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for paving and striping.

Motorists should expect 5-15 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.
Work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials, and construction related issues.
