Construction Continues on Hwy 4 from Angels Camp Through Murphys

CALAVERAS COUNTY — The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform one-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound State Route 4 (SR-4) from from Vallecito Road in Angels Camp, to Silver Dawn Ranch Road, east of Murphys, for various road construction activities. Work will occur as follows: One-way traffic control will be in effect on State Route 4 (SR-4) from Vallecito Road in Angels Camp, to Davis Ranch Road in Douglas Flat, beginning Sunday, September 10, 2017, through Friday, September 15, 2017, from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. for shoulder work;
One-way traffic control on eastbound and west bound SR-4 from Pennsylvania Gulch Road to Apple Blossom Road beginning Tuesday, September 12, 2017, through Friday, September 15, 2017, from 6:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. for curb, gutter and sidewalk work; One-way traffic control on eastbound and west bound SR-4 from Apple Blossom Road to Brice Station Road beginning Monday, September 11, 2017, through Friday, September 15, 2017, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for drainage work.

Motorists should expect 10 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials and construction related issues.
