Monday:
Dress-Up Day:
● Under the Weather. Students will come to school in their pajamas.
Lunch Time Activity:
● Find the gum in the pie.
Tuesday:
Dress-Up Day:
● Under Armor. Students will come to school dressed in sports attire
and memorabilia.
Lunchtime Activity:
● Name that Song
Wednesday:
Dress-Up Day:
● Underdog. Students will come to school dressed like superheroes
Lunchtime Activity:
● Musical Chairs
AFTER SCHOOL DECORATING PARTY 4-6
Music and fun while all classes decorate and post signs together. 25
spirit points awarded each to the 2 classes that are the most
productive and have the most students show up!
Thursday:
● Under the Same Roof. Twin day! Students will come to school dressed
the same as another student.

Friday:
Dress-Up Day:
● Under the Lights. Students will come to school dressed in purple and
gold colors.
Lunchtime Activity:

Lunchtime Activities Scoring:
First Place: 40 points
Second Place: 30 points
Third Place: 20 Points
Fourth Place: 10 points
*Bret harte high school dress code applies to all dress-up days
Campus Decorating:
Each class will be able to decorate their own section in the school. Each
class will be assigned an area that they are allowed to decorate to earn
points for their grade. Each grade will follow a specific theme with their
decorations. On Friday, September 15th, decorations will be moved to a
designated area on the Bret Harte Track, to be on display during the
homecoming game that night. Any class found damaging or removing
decorations will be docked points. Each class will be responsible for
cleaning up their prospective areas in quads and also stadium by start of
school Tuesday September 19th. Each class completely cleaned up will
receive an additional 50 spirit points.
The Decorating Areas are as follows:
Freshmen: Math and Science Building|Horseshoe side of the track
Sophomores: Office Quad|Concession stand side of the track
Juniors: Upper Gym & Reese’s Quad| Bus Chute
Seniors: Quad|Home Section
The Class Themes are as follows:
Freshmen: Under the Big Top (circus)
Sophomores: Undercover (spy)
Juniors: Under the Sun (beach)
Seniors: Under the Sea (ocean)
Mini Parade:
Using the class themes, each class will have a chance to partake in a walking
parade around the track between the Junior Varsity and Varsity
Homecoming game on Friday. Classroom advisors will have details on
where and when to line up on the game night. Wagons, picket signs,
bicycles, etc. No motorized or electric vehicles allowed.
Scoring & Judging:
Quad Areas:
Thursday @ 3:30 Judging will take place for school quad areas.
Judges are looking for: creativity, following particular theme, quality and
quantity of decorations.
First place: 150 pts.
Second Place: 100 pts.
Third Place: 50 pts.
Fourth: 25 pts.
An additional separate 50 points will be awarded to the class which
incorporates the most school pride (purple & gold) into the theme.
Stadium:
Stadium Judging will take place Friday night during the games. Judges are
looking for: creativity, following particular theme, quality and quantity of
decorations. Time permitting, we hope to announce winners by half time
Varsity game.
First place: 100 pts.
Second Place: 50 pts.
An additional separate 50 points will be awarded to the class that
receives vocal audience judging.
Mini parade:
75 spirit points awarded to each class that has participation of at least
15 members (people walking) and at least 15 different objects (signs, minifloats,
twirlers, flags, etc).
Homecoming Queens:
Homecoming Princesses nominated by Fall varsity Sports and campus
clubs. Staff vote nominations to final 5 princeses. Princesses will be notified
by Pond Wednesday, September 6th. They will pick their escorts and “mode
of transportation” around track for Homecoming Friday between Varsity
and Junior Varsity game. Princesses will be presented to the school at the
rally Friday, September 8th. Student Body will vote for Homecoming queen
from the 5 princess candidates during Pond, Wednesday September
13th. Drag will put ballots in your box for Pond. No student is forced to
vote, however one vote per student.
Rallies:
Friday, September 8th: Presentation of Homecoming Princesses, Dress
Up days and Homecoming week promotion.
Periods 2, 4, 6, 8
Rally @ 2:40 during Pond.
Friday, September 15th: Homecoming Rally.
Periods 2, 4, 6, 8/Rally at 1:35; early release at 2:35. Students will check
into Pond and teachers will escort students to the rally.
Homecoming Dance:
Dance from 9PM to 11PM outside in the Quad next to the Lower Gym. No
need to dress up as the theme is purple and gold and school spirit. 5$
entrance, can be bought at the door.
Downtown Banner: Permit to be Hung up from 9.4.17-9.18.17 Purple and
gold jerseys to also be hung up.
Guardian Angels: Varsity Volleyball and varsity cheer randomly select
varsity football players to be guardian angels. Discovery will be revealed at
rally on the 15th. Neither party should spend more than 75$.
