Greenhorn Creek offering Summer Fun For Kids

Angels Camp, CA…Golf skills, good sportsmanship, and great summer fun – Greenhorn Creek Golf Course and Resort will be offering two great summer golf programs for local kids. The summer tour of The First Tee of San Joaquin kicks off Saturday, June 13, at 9:00 am. This nine week program for students ages 7-17 is part of The First Tee, a national program that has brought golf to over 9 million students nationwide since its inception in 1997. The First Tee of San Joaquin County will meet every Saturday at Greenhorn Creek Golf Course and Resort in Angels Camp. Cost per student is $60, and “golferships” may be available to those with financial needs.
For those looking for a mini day-camp experience, Greenhorn Creek will be offering a Junior Golf Camp for students ages 8-14 from Monday, June 22, through Wednesday, June 24.

This three-day mini-camp will teach students basic golf skills, including golf rules and etiquette, putting, short game, full swing, and good sportsmanship. The cost to participate is $60 per student for all three days of the Junior Golf Camp. The cost includes tee prize, instruction, raffle prizes and BBQ lunch on final day. Camp sessions will begin at 10:00 am and end at 12:00 pm daily.
Students in both programs will be instructed by Allan Ramorini, PGA Head Professional; Chris Borrego, PGA Teaching Professional and Jim Dillashaw, PGA Assistant Professional. Students are encouraged to bring their own clubs if they have them; equipment will be available for students who do not have access to their own golf clubs.
