Jackson, CA…From the Amador Sheriff’s Office..”Around 3:30 this afternoon the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible barn on fire in the area of Coal Mine Road and Reservation Road. Due to the wind and dry fuels the fire quickly spread, triggering evacuations along Camanche Parkway North, Coal Mine Road, Reservation Road, and Buena Vista Road. As of 6:30 P.M. the fire was fully contained, but sadly the barn and one home were destroyed. No injuries have been reported, all evacuations have been lifted, and a total of 12 acres were burned. The cause of the fire remains under investigation
With fires burning throughout the state, and the recent fires in Amador and Calaveras Counties, we would like to remind everyone to remain vigilant in observing fire prevention practices.”
