Operator Error Leads to Dirt Bike Rider in Jail.

Pine Grove, CA…Saturday night, one of our patrol deputies spotted a green enduro style dirt bike in the Red Corral area that linked to a reported armed suspect earlier this week. The driver of dirt bike was speeding and crossing over the double yellow lines so our deputy attempted to stop him. But, he fled and our deputy was forced to give chase. The pursuit ended on Dunshee Road in Pine Grove when the rider decided to go off-road into the woods.

Our deputy and a CHP officer chased after him on foot…and discovered this dirt bike rider couldn’t handle the wet terrain. His bike slipped out from underneath him and with the deputy and officer right behind him his ride was over.

Peter Alan Doty of Pioneer was arrested and booked into the Amador County Jail for evading, being in possession of a controlled substance, and driving without a license.
