Four Marijuana Eradications this Week With Over 1,000lbs of Marijuana Seized

San Andreas, CA…The following information is to update on the status of the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team’s recent activities:

10/24/2017
At about 0950 hours Sheriff’s deputies assisted Code Enforcement Officers in serving an abatement warrant that had been obtained by Calaveras County Code Compliance at an address in the 8000 block of Avenue A, Mountain Ranch. Upon arrival, Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a security check of the property and rendered the area safe. No subjects were found to be present. 94 marijuana plants were eradicated.

At about 1250 hours Sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant at an unregistered marijuana grow located at a property in the 2000 block of Andreas Vista Drive, San Andreas. No subjects were found on the property during the time of the warrant service, however persons are believed to have fled the area upon deputies’ arrival. That investigation is ongoing. 208 marijuana plants were eradicated and 1220 pounds of processed marijuana was seized.

At about 0840 hours Sheriff’s Deputies served a search warrant at an unregistered marijuana grow located at a property in the 6000 block of S. Railroad Flat Road, Mountain Ranch. No subjects were found to be present during the warrant service but out of state identifications were located. 120 marijuana plants were eradiated and 330 pounds of processed marijuana was seized. A travel trailer on the property was found to be discharging grey water from the trailer’s toilet and sinks through an unsealed pipe and discharging human waste directly on top of the ground downhill just below the property’s well access point. Code Enforcement Officers responded to the property for the code violations.

At about 9:00am Sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant at an unregistered marijuana grow site located on a property in the 6000 block of Rimrock Valley Road, Mountain Ranch. Upon arrival deputies contacted seven subjects and after further investigation, arrested three of the subjects. Aaron Davis (age 34) and Josey Wales (age 25) of Mountain Ranch were booked into the Calaveras County Jail for 11358H&S – illegal marijuana cultivation with $5,000 Bail. Mark Davis (age 57) was also arrested for a felony warrant out of Nebraska for marijuana related charges.
During this search warrant service multiple travel trailers that were being lived in and containers on the property were ‘red tagged’ as substandard structures by Code Enforcement Officers. 166 marijuana plants were eradicated, several hundred pounds of processed marijuana as well as two firearms and ammunition were seized. Complaints are also being filed with the District Attorney’s Office on several subjects identified at this property for being a prohibited person in possession of firearms and/or ammunition. No further information is available at this time.
