Jamestown, CA…On October 29,2017, at approximately 11:25 pm, a Turlock, was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu, southbound on SR-49/108 approaching the intersection of Main St at the south end of Jamestown, CA. At that time, Mr. Hein pulled out from Main St and into the southbound acceleration lane of SR-49/108, where he stopped his 2006 Ford F450 Flatbed. While Mr. Hein was awaiting an opening in southbound traffic, the Turlock Man allowed his Malibu to cross into the southbound acceleration lane where it struck the left rear of Mr. Hein’s F450 Flatbed.
Mr. slater was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Mr. Slater’s two passengers were transported to Adventist Health Sonora to be treated for their injuries. Mr Slater was also treated at Adventist Health Sonora and subsequently booked at the Tuolumne County Jail for Felony DUI and Child Endangerment. At the time of this collision, this was an active construction area.
