Coulterville, CA…On Friday, November 3, 2017, at approximately 4:23 am, 22 year old Groveland resident, Lashawn Nolen II, was driving a 1992 Mazda Navajo, northbound on State Route 49, south of Crown Lead Road, at approximately 25-35 mph. For unknown reasons, Mr. Nolen allowed his vehicle to travel to the left over the solid double yellow lines. Mr. Nolen then swerved to the right and his vehicle struck a rocky embankment. The vehicle careened off of the rocky embankment and overturned twice coming to rest back on the road.

Mr. Nolen’s passenger, 21 year old Lancaster resident, Cierra Moranti, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. Both occupants were utilizing seatbelt at the time of the collision.

No alcohol or drugs are suspected to have been a factor.
