Jamestown, CA…It is always a good idea to drive safely and ensure your vehicle equipment is functioning properly. That is especially true if you’re car is loaded with illegal drugs. Our partners at Sonora CHP pulled over a vehicle early Wednesday morning on Hwy 108 at Chicken Ranch Road in Jamestown for a lighting equipment violation. The officer soon discovered there was a need to call our Narcotics Team.

The driver, 31-year-old Tenaya Monk of Modesto is on parole and her passenger 53-year-old Bart Hughes of Oakdale is on post release community supervision.

More than half a pound of methamphetamine, 19 grams of heroin, and packaging materials were found in their vehicle.
Both were arrested and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for charges of possession, sales, and transportation of methamphetamine and heroin.
