Subject Arrested for Being Under the Influence, and Bringing Narcotics into the Jail

Angels Camp, CA…On November 23, at approximately 11:00 PM, an officer from the Angels Camp Police Department was dispatched to the 400 block of S. Main Street, on a report of a subject that was sitting on the property masturbating. The property manager reported that at least one person complained to him about the actions of the subject, and requested that police respond and investigate.

Upon arrival the officer found the subject still on the property, and evaluated him for being under the influence of a central nervous system stimulant. He was subsequently placed under arrest for being under the influence of a controlled substance. While booking the suspect into the jail, suspected methamphetamine was located by jail staff in one of the suspect’s shoes.

John Corral, a 30 year old Angels Camp resident, was booked on the following charges;

1) 11550(a) of the CA Health and Safety Code-Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance
2) 11377(a) of the CA Health and Safety Code-Possession of a Controlled Substance
3) 4573 of the CA Penal Code-Smuggle Controlled Substance into a Jail
