Valley Springs, CA…On November 27th, 2017, at approximately 1827 hours, Linneman was driving a 2005 Ford westbound on SR-26, west of Vista Del Lago Drive. McCann was driving a 1998 Jeep westbound on SR-26, west of Vista Del Lago Drive, to the front of Linneman’s Ford. Leon was driving a 2014 Ford eastbound on SR-26, west of Vista Del Lago Drive. McCann stopped his vehicle within the westbound lane to make a left turn onto a frontage road that runs parallel to SR-26. Linneman failed to notice McCann’s Jeep had stopped ahead of him and allowed his vehicle to strike the rear of McCann’s Jeep. The force of the impact between the vehicles caused McCann’s Jeep to be pushed forward and into the eastbound lane, directly into the path of Leon’s Ford and the Jeep was struck in the passenger door.

The right front passenger in the 1998 Jeep, Brenda McCann, was transported by ground ambulance to Mark Twain Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased.

Alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to be a factor in this collision. The collision is still under investigation.

SR-26 was blocked for approximately 1 hr 20 min.
